History

Axicom has a proud history with 15 years of successful operations as Australia’s leading independent tower operator.  The Company traded as Crown Castle Australia* until 2015, and changed its name to Axicom following a change of ownership.

Company Name changed to Axicom.

Acquisition of Structel, the industry leader in structural engineering services for the telecommunications industry.

circle-2012

Acquisition of Aussie Broadband and Agile fixed wireless towers.

circle-2011

Acquisition of KAW, a company specialising in site acquisition, environmental planning and property management services.

circle-2008

Acquisition from Vodafone of an additional 140 mobile tower sites around Australia with a concentration of sites in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

circle-2007

Acquisition of 50 mobile tower sites from Hutchison within key Sydney and Melbourne markets.

circle-2001

Acquisition from Vodafone of 669 mobile tower sites in key markets, together with site maintenance and property services on all Vodafone sites.

circle-2000-1

Acquisition from Optus of 712 mobile tower sites around Australia. The company took over responsibility for security, tower and ground maintenance as well as site leasing arrangements.

Commenced operations as Crown Castle Australia.
